4.5.8 MULTICAST

Multicast forwarding allows a single packet to be forwarded to multiple destinations. The
service is based on L2 switch receiving a single packet addressed to a specific Multicast address.
Multicast forwarding creates copies of the packet, and transmits the packets to the relevant
ports.
Multicast Filtering
The Multicast Filtering page allows for the definition of action settings when an unknown
multicast request is received. The options include: Drop, Flood, or Router Port.
To access this page, click L2 Switching > Multicast > Multicast Filtering.
