8. Remove the fuel tank bracket by removing 3
locknuts and springs and 1 bolt (Fig. 032).

Right Side Fuel Tank Installation

Reverse the order of removal.
Note: When tightening the nuts and springs on the
fuel tank bracket, Do Not over-tighten the
nuts. Tighten the nuts until there are three
threads showing on the threaded stud (Fig.
033).

Left Side Fuel Tank Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Empty the
fuel tank.
