Possible values:
(default value): Only run PAP (PPP Password Authentic-
ation Protocol); the password is transferred unencrypted.
: Only run CHAP (PPP Challenge Handshake Authentic-
ation Protocol as per RFC 1994); password is transferred en-
crypted.
: Primarily run CHAP, otherwise PAP.
