7.1.5

Procedures when replacing the LGC board

Note:
Before replacing the LGC board, perform the following procedure.
P.7-1 "7.1.1 Precautions when replacing PC boards"
When the LGC board has been replaced, make sure to follow the procedure below.
(1)
Confirm that the main power switch is turned OFF.
(2)
Remove the LGC board. For the retails, see the following page.
Service Manual Chap.2
(3)
Remove the EEPROM and the battery and install them in a new LGC board.
(4)
Install the new LGC board. For the retails, see the following page.
Service Manual Chap.2
(5)
Update the engine ROM using the USB media.
P.8-5 "8.1 Firmware Updating with USB Media"
(6)
Turn the main power switch ON and start up with the Setting Mode (08).
(7)
Copy the data in the EEPROM to the SRAM (08-4582).
(8)
Check the version of the engine ROM (08-903).
(9)
Turn the power OFF.

Procedures when replacing the SLG board
Note:
Before replacing the SLG board, perform the following procedure.
P.7-1 "7.1.1 Precautions when replacing PC boards"
When the SLG board has been replaced, make sure to follow the procedure below.
(1)
Confirm that the main power switch is turned OFF.
(2)
Replace the SLG board. For the retails, see the following page.

(3)
Update the scanner ROM using the USB media.
(4)
Turn ON the main power switch and perform "Data transfer of characteristic value of scanner /
SYS board -> SLG board (05-363)".
(5)
Turn the power OFF.
(6)
Turn the main power switch ON and start up with the Setting Mode (08).
(7)
Check the version of the scanner ROM (08-905).
(8)
Turn the power OFF.
