7 Is the magnetic brush in proper
contact with the drum?
8 Is the developer sleeve
pressurization mechanism working?
9 Is the main charger dirty?
10 Is "film-forming" occurring on the
drum surface?
11 Has the drum reached its PM life?
12 Is the transfer roller contacting with
the drum? Is the transfer roller
pressure spring installed properly?
13 Is the setting for the high-voltage
transformer proper?
14 Are the connectors of the high-
voltage harness securely connected?
Is the harness open circuited?
15 Are the connectors of discharge LED
harness securely connected?

Prescription
Replace the toner cartridge.
Check the performance of the auto-
toner circuit.
Check the toner motor and the motor
drive.
Replace the toner cartridge.
Replace the developer material.
Check the installation of the
developer unit.
Adjust the doctor-sleeve gap and
polarity.
Check the mechanism.
Clean it or replace the needle
electrode and main charger grid.
Clean or replace the drum.
Replace the drum.
Check them and reinstall if required.
Adjust the output from the high-
voltage transformer.
Reconnect the harness securely.
Replace the high-voltage harness.
Reconnect the harness securely.
