Select Compatible to enable the SATA and PATA drives to be automatically-detected and be
placed in the Legacy Mode by the BIOS. Select Enhanced to allow the SATA and PATA drives to
be to be automatically-detected and be placed in the Native IDE Mode.
When the SATA Controller Mode is set to Enhanced, the following items are displayed.
Select Enable to allow Serial ATA RAID functions. (For the Windows OS environment, use the
RAID driver if this feature is set to Enabled. When this item is set to Enabled, the item: "ICH
RAID Code Base" is available for you to select Intel or Adaptec Host RAID firmware to be
activated. If this item is set to Disabled, the item-SATA AHCI Enable is available.) The options
are Enabled and Disabled.
Select Intel to enable the Intel SATA RAID firmware. Select Adaptec to use the Adaptec
HostRAID firmware. The options are Intel and Adaptec.
Select Enable to enable the function of Serial ATA Advanced Host Interface. (Use caution when
using this function. This feature is for advanced programmers only.) The options are Enabled
and Disabled.
This display informs you how much system memory is recognized as being present in the system.
This display informs you how much extended memory is recognized as being present in the
system.
