IP routes

Open the Network > IP routes page.

Active routes

This table shows all active routes. You can add routes by specifying the appropriate
parameters and clicking the Add button.
The routing table is dynamic and is updated as needed. This means that during normal
operation, the CN3000 will add additional routes to the table as required. You cannot
delete these system routes.
Interface
Indicates the CN3000 port through which traffic is routed. When you add a route the
CN3000 automatically determines the interface to be used based on the gateway
address.
Destination
Traffic addressed to this IP address will be routed.
Mask
Indicates the number of bits in the destination address that is checked for a match.
Gateway
Indicates the IP address of the gateway the CN3000 will forward routed traffic to. The
gateway address must be on the same subnet as one of the available interfaces
(Internet port or LAN port).
An asterisk is used by system routes to indicate a directly connected network.
Routes cannot be manually specified for IPSec. These routes are automatically added
by the system based on the settings for the IPSec security association.
Metric
Indicates the priority of a route. If two routes exist for a destination address then the
CN3000 chooses the one with the lower metric.

Default routes

This table shows all default routes. The default routes are used when traffic does not
match any of the routes in the Active table. You can add routes by specifying the
appropriate parameters and clicking the Add button.
