DHCP services
DHCP server
The CN3000 features an integrated DHCP server. When operating as a DHCP server,
the CN3000 is responsible for assigning IP addresses to computers on the wireless
network.
If you connect the CN3000 to a wired LAN, the CN3000 will also assign addresses to
computers on the wired LAN as well. However, for this to function properly, no other
DHCP server must be operating on the wired LAN.
DHCP relay agent
When operating as a DHCP relay agent the CN3000 forwards all DHCP requests to a
DHCP server. The DHCP server must be reachable on the Internet port.
None
Select this option to disable DHCP on the CN3000. This may be necessary if you
connect the CN3000 to a wired LAN that already has a DHCP server.
