Syntax conventions

This manual uses the following formatting conventions.

Description
When referring to the management tool
web interface, items in bold type identify
menu commands or input fields. They are
presented exactly as they appear on
screen.
When referring to the management tool
web interface, submenus are indicated
using the '>' sign. The example refers to
the Ports submenu, which is found under
the Network menu.
Items in italics are parameters that you
must supply a value for.
Monospaced text is used to present
command line output, program listings, or
commands that are entered into
configuration files or profiles.
Items enclosed in square brackets are
optional. You can either include them or
not. Do not type the brackets.
