Configuring a RIP Network with Quick Configuration
Function
Enables or disables RIP.
Advertises the default route using RIPv2.
Designates one or more Services Router
interfaces on which RIP is enabled.
Your Action
To enable RIP, select the check box.
To disable RIP, clear the check box.
To advertise the default route using
RIPv2, select the check box.
To disable the default route
advertisement, clear the check box.
The first time you configure RIP, the Logical
Interfaces box displays a list of all the logical
interfaces configured on the Services Router.
Do any of the following:
To enable RIP on an interface, click
the interface name to highlight it,
and click the left arrow to add the
interface to the RIP interfaces list.
To enable RIP on multiple interfaces
at once, press Ctrl while you click
multiple interface names to highlight
them. Then click the left arrow to add
the interfaces to the RIP interfaces list.
To enable RIP on all logical interfaces
except the special fxp0 management
interface, select All Interfaces in the
Logical Interfaces list and click the
left arrow.
To enable RIP on all the interfaces
displayed in the Logical Interfaces list,
click All to highlight every interface.
Then click the left arrow to add the
interfaces to the RIP interfaces list.
To disable RIP on one or more
interfaces, highlight the interface(s) in
the RIP interfaces box and click the
right arrow to move them back to the
Logical Interfaces list.
