DR024: Close IO Door

Problem:
An I/O Station door is open but the library requires it to be closed to continue operation.
Troubleshooting Step:
Close the I/O Station door and close the Ticket.

DR026: Unsupported Module Configuration

Problem:
When bar code scanning the module serial numbers inside the library, the detected module configuration is not
supported by the library firmware.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Contact IBM Technical Support (see "Contacting IBM Technical Support" on page 9-15) to determine why your
module configuration is not supported. If your configuration is valid, new library firmware may be available that
does support it.

DR028: Motion Obstruction Diagnostic

Problem:
The library robot has failed to Perform a motion. It appears that the motion has been obstructed by a foreign object
or a misplaced cartridge.
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Open the Main Access Door(s) and look for any obvious foreign objects or tapes obstructing motion.
2. Look under the robot to make sure that there is no tape or other hidden obstruction on the floor of the library.
3. Close the doors and wait for the System to complete initialization.
4. Use the Tools>Service>Library>Robot Test to exercise the robot and verify that the obstruction is cleared.
v If the test fails, contact IBM Technical Support for further troubleshooting. Refer to "Contacting IBM Technical
Support" on page 9-15.
v If the test passes, the obstruction is cleared. Monitor for reoccurrence.

DR029: Drive Communication Loss Resolution

Problem:
The system can no longer communicate with a drive sled.
There are a few scenarios that can create this problem.
1. A user removed a drive sled
2. A hardware failure that results in the drive appearing to be disconnected.
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. If the drive was intentionally removed close this problem.
2. If the problem occurred during Operation, make sure the sled was properly installed. Check the screws on the
drive to make sure they are tight and the drive is mounted flush to the library chassis.
3. Check for other problems. There are other problems such as T066-Drive Power Fuse Blown, that can cause
communication loss.
4. If the steps above do not resolve problem, replace the drive.
