1-66 Maintenance overview
Dynamic data update
A dynamic data update occurs on an continuous basis. Changed data in the
active unit is updated in the inactive unit. Dynamic data updates include the
following information:
When the bulk transfer of critical data is complete, communication
continues between the mates. Information continues to flow from the active
unit to the inactive unit. This flow of information is an ongoing data update.
As these data change, the inactive unit is updated. The inactive unit is
updated to maintain the ability to take over call processing from its mate if a
switch of activity (SWACT) occurs.
The following table lists critical dynamic data transferred to the inactive
unit. The active unit sends this data to its mate. The data is sent in bulk,
then on a continuous basis, as data in the active unit change.
