Section 2.0 - Preventive Maintenance Action List
A.) Customer Discussion - Discuss the objectives of the
PM with the customer: The purpose of planned
maintenance is inspection and not repair.
i.)
Discuss room scheduling the PM.
ii.)
Special considerations for patient needs.
iii.)
Housekeeping concerns and needs.
B.) Logbook Review - The site log is a history of the
system and room's performance. The system and

room should be in good functional condition. If there
are any major problems or concerns, it's suggested
that PM be deferred to a later time and date.
C.) Error Log Review - The error log is a history of the
system's performance. Review the log for any errors,
trends or unusual events.
D.) Cable Connection Check - Check all cables are not
damaged and securely connected.
Check interlocks (room and door interlocks), e-stops and
exposure-on warning lights on control console.
