Copy defects that appear in the process
direction (from lead edge to trail edge).
Streaks may be uniform (deletions with a
clearly
defined
pattern),
nonuniform
(deletions with no clearly defined pattern),
or periodic.
The deleted streak did not
follow the photoreceptor drum.

Contaminated or defective corotrons.

Drum (Panic Stop) procedure i n Section 6

to isolate the cause of the defect.
If the defect i s on the developed image on
the photoreceptor drum, replace the
charge corotron
(PL 9.2).
If the defect i s not on the photoreceptor
drum, but
it is on
the media, replace the
transfer corotron
