INK JET PRINTER OPERATION
Flow Time Calibration
Printhead Temperature Setup
"Flow Time Calibration" procedure must be done at the following
situation: the printer is used first time, change another type of ink or
replace a new nozzle. And it should be done just before "Ink Refresh"
procedure. The procedures as below:

Enter <System Maintenance-1>, select <Ink On/Off> to open the
ink stream.

After the status is "Printer is ink on", enter <System Maintenance
-2>, select <Flow Time Calibration>,

Select "Flow Time Calibration", the printer will measure the
viscosity three times and calculate the average value as the
setup value and automatically refresh to the "Target Flow Time"
(see "Ink Flow Time").
Caution: Read Chapter 6 "System Maintenance" for how to
execute "Flow Time Calibration" correctly in detail.
Printhead temperature is set at 20°C (the best). Under some
condition (the environmental temperature is below 5°C), ink stream
will break bad. Adjust printhead temperature to improve the printing
quality.
1. Enter <Hydraulic System Maintenance Menu-2>, press "printhead
temperature", it shows as below:
2. Insert a number (0--40°C), and then press "OK" to confirm. The
current temperature of printhead is shown at the right bottom of the
screen and when the current temperature is below the setting
temperature, the system will heat up automatically until the
temperature reaches the setting one.
Caution: Over high setting temperature will bring a long
heating up time.
