Panic Faults
A fault is defined as any printer status that interrupts normal
printer operation immediately or some time. Faults have a variety
of possible causes, including ink that is out of tolerance or failure
of one of the main printer components.
The printer continually monitors all systems for faults. There are
3 different types of faults: 1) warnings, 2) normal faults, and 3)
panic faults.
The accurate Fault occurs time will be recorded by the printer,
refers 'Fault Recoder'
A warning alerts you to a potential problem (fault) before that
problem occurs. It allows you a predetermined period of time to
correct the warning condition before it turns into a printer fault.
The warning message will be displayed in the "Fault Report
Zone" of the screen and the yellow LED on the <Ink Jet Key> will
be lighten.
The printer provides you with the following warnings:
Ink level low warning (refer to page 7-6)
Make-up level low warning (refer to page 7-6)
Viscometer fault (refer to page 7-6)
Flow time too long warning (refer to page 7-7)
Flow time too short warning (refer to page 7-8)
Normal faults are malfunctions that will not cause permanent
damage if allowed to continue. Therefore, when a normal fault
occurs, the printer initiates the four-minute shutdown sequence
(without "Auto Flush") and the fault message will be displayed in
the "Fault Report Zone" of the screen and the red LED on the <Ink
Jet Key> will be lighten.
The printer provides you with the following normal faults:
No signal fault (refer to page 7-8)
Phasing fault (refer to page 7-9)
Panic faults are malfunctions that may cause permanent damage
if allowed to continue. When a panic fault occurs, the printer
shuts down immediately (Shutoff all the solenoids), and the fault
message will be displayed at the "Fault Report Zone" of the LCD
screen and the red LED on the <Ink Jet Key> will be lighten.
The printer provides you with the following panic faults:
