Using the LEDs for
Troubleshooting
LED Descriptions
In order to make the LED to be helpful for troubleshooting, you
need to be familiar with the operational sequences of the printer
(such as printer start-up, printer shutdown, ink transfer, recovery
make-up adding, and ink adding etc.). Refer to Chapter 4, Theory
of Operation, for further information on operational sequences.
The LED indicates the status of the printer when the problem
occurred. Indicates which solenoids, switches, etc. were active or
inactive.
The following pages provide a brief description of what each LED
monitors and what it means when the LED is lit or not lit.
SVAL Ink supply solenoid
Show the status of the ink supply solenoid.
On: To indicate the ink supply solenoid is on, and ink goes into
the nozzle for jetting from the nozzle as an ink stream.
Off: To indicate the ink supply solenoid is off, and ink does not
reach to the nozzle. There is no ink stream jet out from the nozzle.
RVAL
Recovery solenoid
Show the status of the recovery solenoid.
On: To indicate the recovery solenoid is on, the recovery pump
recycle the ink drop which has not been used from gutter to the
ink tank.
Off: the solenoid is off, no recover power in system.
Churn solenoid
VVAL
Show the status of the Churn solenoid.
On: To indicate the Churn solenoid is on, the circulation pump
suck ink from the ink tank into the viscosimeter, and transfers
ink from viscosimeter to the ink tank. This is the process of
churning.
CVAL
Circulation solenoid
Show the status of the circulation solenoid.
On: To indicate the circulation solenoid is on, circulation pump
such ink inside of ink supply tube back to the ink tank. This is the
process of discharging air from ink supply tube.
Off: To indicate the circulation solenoid is off.
BVAL
Pressure relief solenoid
Show the status of the ink pressure relief solenoid.
On: To indicate pressure relief valve on, recovery pump such ink
from ink supply pump and main filter into the ink tank. This is the
