Length Counter
4. Select <Exit> or press <EXIT> key on the keyboard to return to
<System Maintenance-1>.
Caution:
1. The 2 counters (detected and printed) start to count until the
printer status is "Printer is ready".
2. When the number of product detected is larger than the one of
product printed, it means some products are not printed, please
adjust the photocell setup and trigger method.
If there is a need to print once in each interval of a certain length or
certain products, length counter becomes necessary. FCU (frequency
control unit) is necessary to control the print interval to ensure all the
intervals are the same. If there is a need to count meters by printer,
length counter is also needed. The operation is as follow:
1. Enter <Print Setup-3>, select <Length Counter>. If you cannot
enter the length counter setup function, you should check if FCU
is installed correctly (see the Chaper4, page 4-7). It displays as
below:
2. If the status of length counter is "On", it means the function of
counting length is active. The screen displays as below:
3. "Print Signal" is selectable: is decided by photocell or "Print" key
to control the printing begin.
Length Counter Parameter: it is for setting the printing intervals (to
print once in a certain interval of length or products), please consult
the engineers of Saturn.
Caution: Under the status of "Printer is ready to print", length
counter's setting is locked and cannot be changed. Press "Print" and
exit the status of "Printer is ready to print", you may set up
parameters of length counter under any other status.
