Table 6-1. Maintenance Schedule
Several regular maintenance functions must be performed on a
scheduled basis to ensure optimum printer operation.
This section provides preventive maintenance schedules and
procedures, in addition to information on periodic cleaning and
replacement of components.
Refer to Table 6-1 below for a list of all the recommended
scheduled maintenance procedures, and where to turn in this
chapter to find those procedures.
Maintenance Schedule
Procedure
Clean the printhead
Check fluid level in replenishment bottles
(Change bottles, if required)
Inspect fluid lines for leaks
Drain positive air filter
Drain ink trap
Check recovery filter (replace flat filter if
necessary)
Check circulation and make-up filters
Change ink filter
*A feature in the <System Setup / System Status> called "Ink Jet Time"
enables you to quickly access the number of hours the printer has
been in use. Refer to Chapter 5, <System Setup>, for more information
about it.
