This section details the registers of the 16-bit free run timer.
■ Timer Data Register (TCDT)

This register allows reading the count value of the 16-bit free run timer. The counter value is
cleared to "0000
(STOP = 1). Access this register in units of words. The 16-bit free run timer is initialized by
following one of the methods below.
• Initialization by reset
• Initialization by clearing the control status register (CLR)
• Initialization by matching a compare clear register (ch.0 compare register) value with a timer
counter value (A mode must be set.)
