Assigning a sample to a partial or audio phrase

1.
Access the SAMPLE MANAGER screen as described in "Viewing a list of samples" (p. 121).
2.
Select sample that you want to use as an audio phrase or partial.
3.
Press [F3](Quick Assign).
The Select Quick Assign message (Screen Guide; p. 213) will appear.
The rest of the procedure is the same as in"Playing the imported data immediately (Quick Assign)" (p. 75).

Saving a sample as a WAV-format or AIFF-format file

Here you can save a sample to the hard disk as a WAV-format or AIFF-format file.
1.
Access the SAMPLE MANAGER screen as described in "Viewing a list of samples" (p. 121).
2.
Press [MENU].
The MENU popup will appear.
3.
Select "Save Sample As WAV" or "Save Sample As AIFF", and press [F5](Select).
Select Save Sample As WAV if you want to save the sample as a WAV-format file, or select Save Sample As
AIFF if you want to save the sample as an AIFF-format file.
The SAVE SAMPLE AS WAV popup or the SAVE SAMPLE AS AIFF popup (Screen Guide; p. 140) will
appear.
4.
Specify the save destination (such as /USER) and press [F5](Save).
The EDIT FILE NAME popup (Screen Guide; p. 3) will appear.
5.
Specify the name of file you want to save.
The file name will consist of the name you specify, with an added extension (".WAV" for a WAV file, or ".AIF"
for an AIFF file).
6.
Press [F5](Execute).
Sample will be saved to the hard disk as a WAV-format or AIFF-format file.
