Assembling additional materials

Performances with the MV-8800 can also involve importing sounds from audio CDs and sampling sounds
using a microphone, and then performing using the velocity pads. Using the sounds you assemble enables
you to create highly original works.

Importing sound from an audio CD

Here's how to import sounds from an audio CD, then assign them to audio phrases.
Viewing the audio CD contents

Insert your audio CD into the CD-R/RW drive.

Press [IMPORT].
The IMPORT screen (Screen Guide; p. 219) will appear.

Press [F1](Select Drive).
The SELECT DRIVE popup (Screen Guide; p. 6) will appear.

Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select "Audio CD," and press [F5](Select).
The contents of the audio CD are displayed.

Specifying the range and importing the sounds

Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select the CD track that you want to import,
and press [F5](Import).
The SET TIME popup (Screen Guide; p. 225) will appear.
