Operations using the external display

Quick Tour

The following pages explain the most important operations in VGA mode. Please take this quick tour in order
to get a feel for using VGA mode to operate the MV-8800.
This quick tour explains mainly MIDI tracks and instruments, but the same explanations also apply to audio
tracks and audio phrases.
❍ Preparations
Load a project that contains data.
Loading a project – In the menu bar, click "PROJECT"; in the list that appears, click "Load Project..."
● Playback and changing the time location
1.
Click the Play button.
The song will begin playing.
2.
Click a desired point on the song position bar.
The song playback position will move to the location on which you clicked.
You can also drag the knob (handle) of the bar.
3.
In the current time display area, click the measure, beat, or tick field.
The numerical display will turn blue; now you can edit the value. The song playback position will change when
you move the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the value.
● Loop playback
1.
Click the Quick Loop Length indicator.
A list will appear; click the number of measures you want to use (e.g., 2Meas).
2.
Click the Loop Quick Set button
Loop playback will be enabled.
Playback will loop for the number of measures you specified in step 1.
