Data structure

Project
On the MV-8800, the data used to create your compositions is managed in units called "projects."
A project consists of the following data.
• Songs (up to 16 songs)
• Patterns (up to 500 patterns)
• Samples (up to 9999 samples)
• Audio phrases (up to 512 audio phrases)
• Various libraries
• Image clips (up to 16 clips)
Samples (up to 9999)
Parch library
When you save data to the hard disk or load data from the hard disk, the data is saved or loaded as a project.
Different songs within a project can share samples, audio phrases, patterns, and library data.
If you create a new project, you'll be able to create completely different songs.
The entire project is loaded into the MV-8800's internal memory, and all of the operations are performed in
memory. Unlike operations that use a hard disk or other media, processing will be quick and stress-free.
Songs
On the MV-8800, the data needed to play one composition is collectively called a "song."
A song consists of the following data.
• MIDI tracks (up to 128 tracks)
• Audio tracks (up to 8 tracks)
• Pattern track
• Mute control track
• Tempo track
• Instrument
• Mixer
• Effects
There can be up to sixteen songs in a project, but the actual maximum number may be less depending on the
amount of data (events) that is created.
