Creating a new song

"Song" (p. 57)
1.
Press [SONG].
The SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 8) will appear.
2.
Press [F1](Song Menu).
The SONG MENU screen (Screen Guide; p. 78) will appear.
3.
With the cursor located in the upper row of icons, press [F3](Create New). Alternatively,
move the cursor to CREATE NEW SONG and press [ENTER].
The CREATE NEW SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 83) will appear.
4.
Make settings for the song.

If you use the Tempo track (p. 138), the tempo settings of the Tempo track will take priority.
5.
Press [F5](Execute).
The song will be created, and the SONG screen will appear.

Explanation
The name of the song. To assign a name, press [F1](Name) (maximum 12 characters).
You can assign a comment of up to 50 characters to the song. Press [F2](Comment) to assign
a comment.
Specifies the tempo, in units of quarter note Beats Per Minute.
Specifies the time signature. The default is 4/4. As desired, you can select a time signature in
the range of 1/16~32/2.
Specifies the track structure when creating the song. For the various layouts you can choose,
refer to "CREATE NEW SONG screen" (Screen Guide; p. 83).
This lets you apply the Instruments and Effects settings of the current song to the newly-created
song. Add a check mark ✔ if you want these settings to be applied to the new song as well.
