8.8.1 PoE Time Range Status

Use t his screen t o see whet her PoE is scheduled t o be enabled on a port .
Chapter 8 Basic Setting
DESCRIPTION
This field displays t he power m anagem ent m ode used by t he Swit ch, whet her it is in
Cla ssifica t ion or Con su m pt ion m ode.
This field displays t he t ot al power t he Swit ch can provide t o t he connect ed PoE- enabled
devices on t he PoE port s.
This field displays t he am ount of power t he Swit ch is current ly supplying t o t he connect ed
PoE- enabled devices.
This field displays t he t ot al am ount of power t he Swit ch has reserved for PoE aft er
negot iat ing wit h t he connect ed PoE device( s) .
Con su m ing Pow e r ( W ) can be less t han or equal but not m ore t han t he Alloca t e d Pow e r
( W ) .
This field displays t he am ount of power t he Swit ch can st ill provide for PoE.
Note: The Switch must have at least 16 W of remaining power in order to supply power to a
PoE device, even if the PoE device needs less than 16W.
This is t he port index num ber.
This field shows which port s can receive power from t he Swit ch. You can set t his in
8.8.2 on page
77.
D isa ble - The PD connect ed t o t his port cannot get power supply.
En a ble - The PD connect ed t o t his port can receive power.
This shows t he power classificat ion of t he PD.
This is a num ber from 0 t o 4, where each value represent s a range of power ( W) and power
current ( m A) t hat t he PD requires t o funct ion. The ranges are as follows.
Cla ss 0 - Default , 0.44 t o 12.94
Cla ss 1 - Opt ional, 0.44 t o 3.84
Cla ss 2 - Opt ional, 3.84 t o 6.49
Cla ss 3 - Opt ional, 6.49 t o 12.95
Cla ss 4 - Reserved ( PSEs classify as Class 0) in a Swit ch t hat support s I EEE 802.3af
only. Opt ional, 12.95 t o 25.50 in a Swit ch t hat support s I EEE 802.3at .
When t he t ot al power request ed by t he PDs exceeds t he t ot al PoE power budget on t he
Swit ch, you can set t he PD priorit y t o allow t he Swit ch t o provide power t o port s wit h higher
priorit y first .
Cr it ica l has t he highest priorit y.
H igh has t he Swit ch assign power t o t he port aft er all crit ical priorit y port s are served.
Low has t he Swit ch assign power t o t he port aft er all crit ical and high priorit y port s are
served.
This field displays t he PoE st andard t he Swit ch uses t o provide power on t his port .
This field displays t he current am ount of power consum ed by t he PD from t he Swit ch on t his
port .
This field displays t he m axim um am ount of power t he PD could use from t he Swit ch on t his
port .
