LABEL DESCRIPTION
Act ive Select t his check box t o act ivat e your rule. You m ay t em porarily deact ivat e a rule wit hout
delet ing it by clearing t his check box.
Nam e Type a descript ive nam e ( up t o 32 print able ASCI I charact ers) for t his st at ic m ult icast MAC
address forwarding rule. This is for ident ificat ion only.
MAC Address Ent er a m ult icast MAC address which ident ifies t he m ult icast group. The last binary bit of t he
first oct et pair in a m ult icast MAC address m ust be 1. For exam ple, t he first oct et pair
00000001 is 01 and 00000011 is 03 in hexadecim al, so 01: 00: 5e: 00: 00: 0A and
03: 00: 5e: 00: 00: 27 are valid m ult icast MAC addresses.
VI D You can forward fram es wit h m at ching dest inat ion MAC address t o port ( s) wit hin a VLAN
group. Ent er t he I D t hat ident ifies t he VLAN group here. I f you don't have a specific t arget
VLAN, ent er 1.
Port Ent er t he port ( s) where fram es wit h dest inat ion MAC address t hat m at ched t he ent ry above
are forwarded. You can ent er m ult iple port s separat ed by ( no space) com m a ( ,) or hyphen ( -
) . For exam ple, ent er " 3- 5" for port s 3, 4, and 5. Ent er " 3,5,7" for port s 3, 5, and 7.
Add Click Add t o save your rule t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t his rule if it is
t urned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save your
changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o reset t he fields t o t heir last saved values.
Clear Click Cle a r t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
I ndex Click an index num ber t o m odify a st at ic m ult icast MAC address rule for port ( s) .
Act ive This field displays whet her a st at ic m ult icast MAC address forwarding rule is act ive ( Ye s) or
not ( N o) . You m ay t em porarily deact ivat e a rule wit hout delet ing it .
Nam e This field displays t he descript ive nam e for ident ificat ion purposes for a st at ic m ult icast MAC

MAC Address This field displays t he m ult icast MAC address t hat ident ifies a m ult icast group.
VI D This field displays t he I D num ber of a VLAN group t o which fram es cont aining t he specified
m ult icast MAC address will be forwarded.
Port This field displays t he port ( s) wit hin a ident ified VLAN group t o which fram es cont aining t he
specified m ult icast MAC address will be forwarded.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in t he
t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Delet e Click D e le t e t o rem ove t he select ed ent ry from t he sum m ary t able.
Cancel Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he check boxes.
