Chapter 24 Multicast
DESCRIPTION
Ent er t he am ount of t im e ( in m iliseconds) bet ween t he MLD group- specific queries
sent by an upst ream port when an MLD Done m essage is received. This value should
be exact ly t he sam e as what 's configured in t he connect ed m ult icast rout er.
This value is used t o calculat e t he am ount of t im e an MLD snooping m em bership
ent ry ( learned only on t he upst ream port ) can rem ain in t he forwarding t able aft er a
Done m essage is received.
When an MLD Done m essage is received, t he Swit ch set s t he ent ry's lifet im e t o be t he
product of La st M e m be r Qu e r y I n t e r va l and Robu st n e ss Va r ia ble .

t he downst ream port .
Ent er t he m axim um t im e ( in m iliseconds) t hat t he Swit ch wait s for a response t o a
general query m essage sent by t he downst ream port .
Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry or t o updat e an exist ing one.
This saves your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese
changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done
configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o reset t he fields t o your previous configurat ion.
Click Cle a r t o reset t he fields t o t he fact ory default s.
This is t he index num ber of t he MLD snooping- proxy VLAN ent ry in t he t able. Click on
an index num ber t o view m ore det ails or change t he set t ings.
This field displays t he I D num ber of t he VLAN group.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box
in t he t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Click D e le t e t o rem ove t he select ed ent ry( ies) perm anent ly.
Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he check boxes.
