8.6.1 Management IP Addresses

The Swit ch needs an I P address for it t o be m anaged over t he net work. The fact ory default I P
address is 192.168.1.1. The subnet m ask specifies t he net work num ber port ion of an I P address.
The fact ory default subnet m ask is 255.255.255.0.
You can configure up t o 64 I P addresses which are used t o access and m anage t he Swit ch from t he
port s belonging t o t he pre- defined VLAN( s) .
Not e: You m ust configure a VLAN first . Each VLAN can only have one m anagem ent I P
address.
