Use t his screen t o view t he I Pv6 int erface st at us and configure Swit ch's m anagem ent I Pv6
addresses.
Click Ba sic Se t t ing > I Pv6 in t he navigat ion panel t o display t he I Pv6 st at us screen as shown
next .
Chapter 8 Basic Setting
DESCRIPTION
Select t he t ype of I Pv6 int erface for which you want t o configure. The Swit ch support s t he
VLAN int erface t ype for I Pv6 at t he t im e of writ ing.
Specify a unique ident ificat ion num ber ( from 1 t o 4094) for t he int erface.
To have I Pv6 funct ion properly, you should configure a st at ic VLAN wit h t he sam e I D num ber
in t he Adva n ce d Applica t ion > V LAN screens.
Click t his t o creat e a new ent ry.
This saves your changes t o t he Sw it ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses t hese changes if
it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save your
changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o reset t he fields t o your previous configurat ion.
This field displays t he index num ber of an ent ry.
This field displays t he t ype of int erface.
This field displays t he ident ificat ion num ber of t he int erface.
This field displays t he int erface's descript ive nam e which is generat ed aut om at ically by t he
Swit ch. The nam e is from a com binat ion of t he int erface t ype and I D num ber.
Select an ent ry's check box t o select a specific ent ry. Ot herwise, select t he check box in t he
t able heading row t o select all ent ries.
Click D e le t e t o rem ove t he select ed ent ry from t he sum m ary t able.
Click Ca n ce l t o clear t he check boxes.
