Rocker Arm Assembly Installation

_ .l.pply liquid gasket, PIN 08718-0009, evenly to the
:ylinder head mating surface of the No.5 rocker
shaft holder.
'.OTE: Do not install the parts if 5 minutes or more
cave elapsed since applying liquid gasket. Instead,
'eapply liquid gasket after removing old residue.

Apply liquid gasket
along the broken line.
4. Insert the bolts IAI into the rocker shaft holder, then
install the rocker arm assembly IBI on the cylinder
head.

5. Remove the bolts from the rocker shaft holder.
6. Make sure the punch marks on the variable valve
timing control IVTCI actuator and exhaust camshaft
sprocket are facing up, then set the camshafts IAI in
the holder.
7. Set the camshaft holders (BI and cam chain guide B
ICI in place.
8. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
Specified torque:
8 mm bolts: 22 N·m (2.2 kgf.m, 16lbf·ftl
6 mm bolts: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 8.7Ibf·ftl
6 mm bolts:

9. Install the cam chain (see page 6-151, and adjust the
valve clearance Isee page 6-91.
