To exit from a UNIX System window:

Press <Return>, and then press <Ctrl>-<D>.
Press <Enter> also, if prompted.
Execntjng a Single Command from the System
V
Shell
To execute a single shell command and return to the
window from which it was issued:

From the Office, Filecabinet, any folder,
Wastebasket, or Administration window, type
!
cmdname (where cmdname is the command you
want to execute) .

Press <Enter> or <Return>.
A UNIX System window opens, displaying the
results of your command.
When the command
has completed, the system displays the
message Press ENTER to continue on the
message line at the bottom of the screen.

Press <Enter> to close the window and return
to the window that was active when you typed
the command.
For example, if you type this command:
!ls -1
and press the Return key, a UNIX System window is
created and the contents of the current directory are
listed.
When you have finished viewing the list, press
the Enter key to close the window.
