Managing the UNIX PC
This section of the
UNIX
PC Owner's Manual covers how
to set up and update your system and how to maintain
your UNIX PC.
To use the procedures described in this section, your
UNIX PC hardware and system software must be installed.
See the AT&T UNIX PC Hardware Installation Guide and
the AT&T
UNIX
PC System Software Installation Guide if
installation is not complete.
This section contains the following chapters:

"Summary Chart" lists the functions you
perform to set up, update, and maintain the
UNIX PC.

"The System Administrator" discusses the role
of the person who manages system tasks and
the two Administration menus available for
such management.

"Setting Up the UNIX PC" covers setup of your
RS-232 ports, modems, and printers.

"Updating the UNIX PC" covers installing
software, setting up mail, adding and
removing user logins, changing passwords, and
changing the system date and time.

system information, backing up and restoring
files,
and running diagnostics.
