Example
The following example shows you how to enter the Delete
command using the Dlete action key.
For full
information on using the Delete command, see "Using
Office Commands" in this section.

Open or resume the folder containing the file
you want to delete.

Point to the file you want to delete or type
the first few characters of the file name.

Press <Dlete>.
The file is deleted from the folder and moved to the
Wastebasket.
Feedback from Commands
When you enter a command, the command line and the
message line display information about the command.
The command line displays the command you are entering.
For example, if you point to a file named example and
press the Copy key, the command line displays copy
example.
The message line confirms that a command has been
completed.
For example, if you point to the file
example and press the Dlete key, the message line
displays example was moved to Wastebasket.
Working with Commands
Some commands can be used with more than one object at
a time.
For example, you can delete several files at
once.
Other commands require you to provide additional
information after you enter the command.
You supply
this information by typing it or by selecting from a
menu.
The following section explains how to use these
command features.
