Changing User Preferences
Empty Wastebasket?:
You can choose the interval in
which the Wastebasket is emptied.
All previously
deleted files contained in the Wastebasket are
automatically removed from the system.
The Wastebasket
is emptied following a login.
So, if your selected
interval is Daily, your Wastebasket is automatically
emptied after you log in every day.
The four cleanup
interval selections are Never, Daily, Weekly, or
Monthly.
If you keep the Never selection, you must
remember to open your Wastebasket periodically and
delete files from it manually.
Note
The following read, write, and run
permissions affect all folders and files
that you create after you change the
preferences settings.
Any folders and
files you created prior to the
preferences change may not have the same
permissions.
Use the Security command
to see and, if you like, change the
current permission for any folder or
