Changing User Preferences
You can customize some of the UNIX PC Office features
and operations by using the Preferences object in the
Office window.
Some applications also provide
preferences that let you customize the application.
See your application manuals for details.
The entire workstation can be set up in several ways so
that all users are affected.
See the Managing the UNIX
PC section of this manual for details.
Preferences Slnnmary
All of the features and functions you can customize
using the Preferences object are listed below.
These
features are described in detail at the end of this
chapter.
Office Preferences
Folder
di~]ay
type:
Displays of Office object and
folder contents can be in any of three formats:
the
name of each object followed by its description; the
name alone; or the long form, which includes the name,
description, date of last change, and size.
Folder
dj~lay
order:
The order in which Office object
and folder contents are displayed can be any of six
sequences:
alphabetical, most recent, least recent,
largest item first, smallest item first, and
alphabetical by type.
Standard window size:
Certain displays use a default
window size.
You can determine the number of rows and
columns in the standard window.
