Updating the UNIX PC
Mail password:
This field specifies the receiving computer's
Electronic Mail password, if one exists.
If the
receiving computer does not use a mail password, leave
this field blank.
Otherwise, get the password from the
person in charge of the receiving computer.
Connection:
This field specifies the type of connection you want to
use.
Some connections include ttyOOO for the RS-232
port, ttyOOl through tty006 for the six RS-232
expansion ports, and phO and ph1 for telephone lines.
Your system may have fewer or more options, depending
on the software you have installed.
Some systems provide multiple connection types.
In
such a case, you can create a separate entry for each
connection type, so there can be more than one entry
for a single UNIX PC.
Electronic Mail first tries the
connection that appears first in the Mail Setup menu;
if that connection is busy, Electronic Mail tries the
next connection.
In some cases, Mail Setup does not recognize a device.
If the device you want to use does not appear as an
option for this field, you can specify a special
nonstandard connection.
To do so:
1
Press <Creat>.
A warning message appears to make sure that
you want to enter a special device.
