13.7 Manage Storage Devices

To play content, you must connect a network-attached storage (NAS) or direct attached storage (DAS) device
to the Christie IMB to store ingested content. The NAS device must be connected to one of the gigabit Ethernet
ports on the Christie IMB labeled NAS-1 or NAS-2. The DAS device must be connected to the external serial
ATA (eSATA) ports on the Christie IMB labeled DAS-A or DAS-B. The Christie IMB does not support
simultaneous switching between NAS and DAS devices. Content cannot be stored on the Christie IMB; all
content must be stored on a NAS or DAS device.

Add a DAS

1. Verify the direct attached storage (DAS) device is connected to one of the external serial ATA (eSATA)
ports on the Christie IMB labeled DAS-A or DAS-B.
2. Tap Menu > Christie IMB > System.
3. Tap Storage.
4. Tap Add DAS.
5. Select a DAS in the list.
6. Tap OK.
7. Complete the information fields for the DAS device.
8. Tap Primary if this is your primary DAS device.
9. Tap OK.
10. Tap Save.

Edit DAS Settings

1. Tap Menu > Christie IMB > System.
2. Tap Storage.
3. Tap a DAS device in the DAS list.
4. Edit the DAS settings.
5. Tap OK.
6. Tap Save.
7. Tap OK.

Delete a DAS

1. Tap Menu > Christie IMB > System.
2. Tap Storage.
3. Tap a DAS device in the DAS list.
4. Tap Delete.
5. Tap Yes.
6. Tap Save.
7. Tap OK.
