Configuring Loopback Interfaces

Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure a loopback interface.
Command
configure
interface loopback
loopback-id
ip_address
ip address
subnet_mask
[secondary]
CTRL + Z
show ip interface loopback
loopback-id
Purpose
Enter Global Configuration mode.
Create the loopback interface and enter Interface
Configuration mode for the specified loopback
interface.
Configure a static IP address and subnet mask. Use the
secondary keyword to specify that the address is a
secondary IP address.
Exit to Privileged EXEC mode.
View interface configuration information for the
specified loopback interface.
