7.5 Installing Options
When installing optional parts purchased with your printer, refer to the procedures below.

Before installation of options, always perform the following.
• • • • Turn the power source to the product off.
• • • • Remove the power source plug from the outlet.
• • • • Remove all cables connected to the printer.
Failure to do so could result in damage to the printer or your computer.
• • • • Touch a metallic section of the product, to remove any static electricity in
your body. The electronic components can be damaged from static electricity.

When installing options, do not touch the elements on the circuit board. The
elements on the boards can be very hot, and can cause burns.
7.5.1 Installation of the hard disk
Installing a hard disk in this unit will allow to process large data effectively.

Install the hard disk to the unit according to the following procedure.
NOTE

The hard disk is equipped with PJ-2216NXE as standard.
•
When replacing the hard disk, use the reverse procedures of installing to uninstall.
1. Remove the hard disk slot on the back face of the unit.
