4 Installing MUTOH Status Monitor
Before you start printing an image, MUTOH Status Monitor (MSM) must be installed on your computer.
After installing MSM, follow the instructions on the MSM operation manual to configure MSM initial setup, printer registration.

• The CD supplied with your printer contains the following software and operation manual:
MUTOH LFP Finder
Printer driver
MUTOH Status Monitor (MSM)
Layout and Print Tool 2
Manuals (for printer and software)
Important!
• Make sure to install MSM stored in the supplied CD.

Follow the instructions on the Startup Wizard to install softwares.
Note
• Please keep the supplied CD at hand. You will need it for reinstallation.
• If lost, you can download from MUTOH Club (user registration is required).

When you set up the printer using the Startup wizard, assign IP address to your
printer, so that it can communicate with the computer.
Sends print data from the computer to the printer. It also allows to change the print
settings.
Note
If you use the Windows printer driver, select the ink type and the ink configuration settings
of your printer (see "Displaying the Printing Preferences screen of printer driver" of the
Operation Manual).
Allows you to view printer status, change printer's settings and run a test printing.

Insert the supplied CD into the CD-ROM drive.
Note
• The Startup Wizard will start up automatically.
• If the Startup wizard does not automatically start, right click the icon of CD-
ROM drive, open the contents of CD with [Open], and double click
MpTotalInst.exe.
