Steering Head Bearing Play - Checking, Adjusting - BMW K75 Repair Manual

Place the motorcycle on its supports again and raise with
BMW hoistOO 1 510 until the frontwheel is just offthe
ground.
When the remaining oil has drained out, screw in the drain
plugs again.
Renewthe sealing rings!
Tightening torque:
Drain plug
9±1Nm
Refill with measuring beaker and funnel (with extension
hose) .
Filling capacity per tube:
K75, c, s, K 100
K100RS, RT
Sports settings
0.33-0.011
0.36-0 .011
0.28-0.011
Insert oil filler plugs with new sealing rings and tighten,
then lowerthe front wheel again (air cushion in fork) .
Tightening torque:
Oil filler plug 15 ± 2Nm

Place motorcycle on supports and raise with BMW hoist
00 1 510 until the frontwheel is offthe ground.
The handlebar must slowly fall away from the centre
position to the lelt or right stop.
Note:
Remove the rubber sleeves on K 1 00 RS and RT on the
fairing, as these falsify the frictional value.
Slacken off the taper screws for the Fluidbloc.
Tightening torque:
Taperscrews 9 ± 1 Nm
Remove the fuel tank to adjustthe steering head bearing.
