[2] PREPARATION
(1) Separating Engine from Clutch Housing
A Follow the procedure from "Draining Transmission Fluid" (Page 1-S20) to "Separating the Engine from
Clutch Housing" (Page 1-S25) in ENGINE section.
Checking Clutch Pedal Free Travel
A When checking, park the tractor on flat ground, apply the
parking brake, stop the engine and remove the key
1. Slightly depress the clutch pedal (1) and measure free travel
"L" at top of the clutch pedal.
2. If the measurement is not within the factory specification,
loosen the lock nut and adjust the clutch rod (2) length.
A After adjustment, be sure to check the operation of the
safety switch (3). The engine should not start if the clutch
pedal is not fully depressed. Refer to "Safety Switches"
(page 9-S16) in ELECTRICAL SYSTEM section for the
safety switch.
