3. CHECKING, DISASSEMBLING AND SERVICING

[1] CHECKING AND ADJUSTING

Brake Pedal Free Travel
A Stop the engine and chock the wheels before checking
brake pedal.
A The difference between the right and left pedal plays must
be less than 5.0 mm (0.19 in.).
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Slightly depress the brake pedals (1) and measure free travel
(L) at top of pedal stroke.
3. If the measurement is not within the factory specifications,
loosen the lock nut (2) and turn the brake rod (3).
4. Retighten the lock nut (2) securely.
