Table 12: Supervision Configuration Parameters (continued)
Parameter
Disconnect Mode
Description
This setting determines how the system handles lines in attended
conferences are disconnected from the far end (by the caller),
and specifies whether an operator or the system puts
disconnected lines back on hook.
OFF (default) — The system puts disconnected lines back
l
on hook, and the lines become immediately available for a
new call.
Set Disconnect Mode to OFF when you need to make
disconnected lines immediately available for new calls.
ON — Disconnected lines remain off hook pending
l
operator action. Bridge Talk notifies the operator of
disconnected lines by highlighting them and indicating the
disconnected (DC) state. See the Bridge Talk User's
Guide for details.
Set Disconnect Mode to ON for attended conferences where
operators continually monitor bridge activity. Do not use this
setting for unattended conferences where no operators are
present to purge the disconnects.
Tip:
Because the system treats each call separately,
Tip:
you can use Disconnect Mode on a mixed
system. By analyzing call setup and channel
settings, the system classifies a call as attended
or unattended and applies Disconnect Mode
accordingly.
The system places any line in an Attended conference
that is hung up from the far end in disconnect mode.
Lines in Unattended (Flex or On Demand)
conferences that are hung up from the far end are not
placed in disconnect mode.
