Table 45: Auto CDR Server Action and Remote Host Response (continued)
Auto CDR Server...
Reaches end of file.
Sends blank record (seqnum=99999,
Data Valid flag = N)
Waits for next command.
Request Autocdr Mode flag = Y
Locates/transfers requested file.
Stops listening for commands.
Continues sending records as events
occur.
Loses/closes connection.
Stops sending records.
Listens for connection requests.
The system must be in a LAN environment and the system configuration Automatic CDR
l
Print parameter set to LAN.
Records are sent in Auto CDR export format prefixed with header information.
l
Any CDR file's data can be sent.
l
No asynchronous (real-time) transfer of CDRs occurs until the system receives a
l
command with the Mode flag set to Y.
Changing the CDR Configuration immediately affects the size of the CDR records
l
transmitted, except when CDRs are being sent from an already generated file. In this case,
data changes with the next CDR request (Mode = N) or before the next auto CDR (Mode =
Y).
Auto CDRs sent after midnight reflect the new date in the MMMDD and the sequence
l
number is reset to 00000 in the NNNNN prefix of the transmitted auto CDR records. The
date and sequence number of a CDR reflect the start time of the call. Thus, CDRs
generated after midnight may have a mix of sequence numbers and dates, because the
system generates records as calls disconnect. For example, a thirty-minute call started 07/
26/99 at 23:45 ends the following day (07/27/99) at 00:15. The CDR date is 07/26/99 and
the sequence number is pre-00000, as illustrated in the sample CDR printout shown in
Figure
20.
