Parameter
Auto Extend
Duration
50 Administration and Maintenance of the S6200/S6800 Servers
Description
Specifies whether the system attempts to automatically extend the
duration of in-progress unattended conferences for 25 additional
minutes.
OnDefault — The system attempts to extend unattended
l
conferences. Successful extension is dependent on the
availability of (non-reserved) lines and security codes. This
setting can be changed in the Conference Scheduler on a
per-conference basis.
OffDefault — The system does not attempt to automatically
l
extend unattended conferences. This setting can be changed
in the Conference Scheduler on a per-conference basis.
OFF (default) — The system does not attempt to
l
automatically extend unattended conferences. This setting
cannot be changed in the Conference Scheduler.
The system attempts to extend a conference three additional times
after successfully extending it the first time. This means that a
conference can extend up to 100 minutes beyond its original end
time. If warning tones are enabled, each time the system plays a
warning tone, it also attempts to extend the conference, including
one last time just before the conference ends. When warning tones
are not enabled for unattended conferences, the system attempts to
extend a conference one time just before a conference's end time.
The system plays annunciator message 241 to inform a conference
that it has been extended; otherwise, the conference ends at the
scheduled end time.
Note: Auto Extend Duration is disabled, regardless of this setting, if
the External Passcode Validation (EPV) feature is enabled for the
system. See
Using External Passcode Validation
more information on EPV.
