Disable interfaces from
sending OSPFv3 packets
After an OSPF interface is set to silent, direct routes of the interface can still be advertised in
Intra-Area-Prefix-LSAs via other interfaces, but other OSPFv3 packets cannot be advertised. Therefore,
no neighboring relationship can be established on the interface. This feature can enhance the
adaptability of OSPFv3 networking.

Enable the Logging of Neighbor State Changes

Configuring OSPFv3 GR
You cannot configure OSPFv3 GR after configuring OSPFv3 virtual links, becase they are not
supported at the same time.
The 4800G series switches are centralized devices that support IRF. They can act as a GR Helper
before forming an IRF; they can form a distributed chassis switch in a logical sense and act as a
GR Restarter after forming an IRF. Active and standby switchover in this document refers to the
switching of the master for IRF devices.
To prevent service interruption after a master/backup switchover, a GR Restarter running OSPFv3 must
complete the following tasks:
Use the command...
system-view
ospfv3 [ process-id ]
silent-interface { interface-type
interface-number | all }
Use the command...
system-view
ospfv3 [ process-id ]
