Upgrading software

CAUTION:
Software upgrade takes a period of time. Avoid performing any operation on the Web interface during
the upgrading procedure. Otherwise, the upgrade operation might be interrupted.
A boot file, also known as the system software or device software, is an application file used to boot the
device. Software upgrade allows you to obtain a target application file from the local host and set the file
as the boot file with the original file name to be used at the next reboot. In addition, you can select
whether to reboot the device to bring the upgrade software into effect.
To upgrade software:
1.
Select Device > Device Maintenance from the navigation tree.
The page for upgrading software appears.

Configure software upgrade parameters as described in

Click Apply.

Specify the path and filename of the local application file, which must be suffixed
with the .app or .bin extension.
Specify the type of the boot file for the next reboot:
Main—Boots the device.
Backup—Boots the device when the main boot file is unavailable.
