Network requirements

Perform the configuration so that Host A can receive the IPv6 multicast packets destined for the IPv6
multicast group FF1E::101, and Switch A drops the unknown IPv6 multicast packets rather than flooding
them in the VLAN.

Configuration procedure

Configuring Router A
Enable IPv6 multicast routing, assign IPv6 address to each interface, enable IPv6 PIM-DM on each
interface, and enable MLD on Ethernet 1/1. (Details not shown.)
Configuring Switch A
1.
Create VLAN 100:
a.
Select Network > VLAN from the navigation tree.
b.
Click the Create tab.
c.
Enter 100 as the VLAN ID.
d.
Click Apply.
Description
